SkyGeo expert co-authors new definitive guide to Surveying & Mapping
SkyGeo’s own Freek van Leijen, InSAR Engineer at SkyGeo, is one of four expert researchers and educators behind a newly published and comprehensive textbook, An Introduction to Surveying and Mapping.
Drawing on many years of teaching third-year coursework at Delft University of Technology, the authors have brought together a wide body of material to create a practical and authoritative introduction to the core disciplines of surveying and mapping. The result is a clear, structured resource designed for students and professionals alike.
The book spans a broad range of topics, including levelling, tachymetry, mathematical geodesy, land surveying, GPS positioning, remote sensing, photogrammetry, ranging and imaging, lidar, radar and sonar, as well as map projections and coordinate reference systems.
