Ramon is responsible for scientific innovation, quality control, and developing the core processing capabilities of the SkyGeo platform.

He is one of the early pioneers in InSAR technology. He has published over 290 publications, among which three books, with nearly 4900 citations. He served in the Mission Advisory Group of the design for the Sentinel-1 mission of the European Space Agency.

Since 2008, he is Antoni van Leeuwenhoek Professor in Geodesy and Satellite Earth Observation at TU Delft.

Ramon studied aerospace engineering and geodesy and received his PhD (cum laude) in 2001 and his Masters in 1993, from TU Delft.
